just bought a g75 asus laptop and im getting incredibly low FPS?

hi all. so i just bought a ASUS G75 gaming laptop with a 765m GPU, and i started to play arma3 today and i cant even play it, im getting like 5 fps on low settings? im absolutely certain there is something wrong, there is no way i should be getting that low of fps? could something be broken in the computer? i just bought it this morning..

Have you checked the settings in the Nvidia control panel? Sometimes in laptops with Nvidia Optimus, it will use the Intel GPU instead of the Nvidia one.

how do i find that? i dont believe my laptop has a thing called "optimus" and i went into devices and the gpu is my 765m, so i think that would be the one activated right?

Right-click on your desktop, click 'Nvidia Control Panel', go to 'Manage 3D Settings' on the left, under 'select a program to customise' find Arma3 (if it's not in the drop-down list, click 'Add' and it will probably be in the list of recently used programs). Then under 'Select the preferred graphics processor for this program' pick the Nvidia processor.

I can provide screenshots if my description is insufficient. Though if you in fact don't have Nvidia Optimus, the option won't appear, and I don't know what else could be helpful.

It's not an amazingly fast laptop and Arma 3 is having alot of FPS issues right now, nothing you can do.
