CPU Upgrade worth it?

Hi, I have a HP Pavilion p6-2002uk and is it worth it to upgrade the cpu from AMD E2-3200 2.4GHz dual core to AMD A6-3650 2.6GHz quad core. The Quad core CPU amazon link is:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/AMD-A6-3650-Quad-Core-Processor-2-6GHz/dp/B0055ZCXUK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1374430660&sr=8-1&keywords=AMD+A6-3650+%28Llano%29+quad+core

It will cost me £54.69. If I upgrade the CPU I will also have to upgrade the Power Pack from 300 watts to 400 watts.

The cpu usage is quite high a lot of the time too and the system can be quite slow and unresponsive at times.

Also both processors will also work with my motherboard.

Well you will definitely have a notable performance increase on the CPU side. If you are also using the integrated GPU, the performance will more than double. Good luck.
  2. OK thanks, I will just get the processor and hopefully see a performance boost. I searched online at the bench marking site cpubenchmark.net and the score for A6-3650 is just under 2.5 times higher then the E2-3200.
