Unbearable Coil whine in Menus and starting videos in Crysis, etc.

I get loud, unbearable fingernails-on-chalkboard coil whine when I start some games like Crysis with no vsync. I can't stand the noise long enough (probably due to the fact that i'm 14) to turn on vsync and it really bothers me... Any tips to enable vsync in any game so it doesn't whine? :)

If it really is coil whine there is nothing you can do except exchanging it for another one hoping you get lucky.

If you don't want to rma or return, you can enable vsync in the gamesettings.ini or something similar located in the game directory. Each game will be different in getting to the right file and vary in difficulty. Most modern games have this option in-game.
