I was playing Crysis on high settings on my great gaming rig, and for some odd reason after I got dropped into the water in the beginning, when I crouched, a brief video artifact popped up. All my CPU and GPU temps are normal - should I worry?
No. I tried it once with my other card and I had to RMA it because it burnt out. I have 1 (used to be 2) 7950s, Win8 Basic, 16GB RAM, i5-3570k, 1000watt PSU, 1TB HDD, and ASRock Z77 Extreme4 Mobo
... strange. It still worries me... I had one of my graphics cards crap out.... so this is really scaring me. I fixed the coil whine that happened in the menus , but to see this continue is weird. Not to mention my fans flare up every 10 or so mins. I just got this rig in march...
Is choosing high settings new? is v-sync off? try the game again and see if it acts up. Are you running luicid virtu MVP or razor game booster?
1. No, it auto-chose high
2. vSync is on
3. Nope and nope.
4. I will try the game again in a sec... i don't have any artifacts in any other games, even games on Very High that are resource-intensive
From both the top and bottom there is no dust. My airflow is a bit cramped yet my temps are in the high 60c range when gaming - only flaring up to max 74 on rare occasions. I use MSI afterburner.
I'll check if the card is properly placed in.
If you want to test other stuff, go ahead. If the (3d gpu) card runs good on occt, your good to go. maybe a game conflict at a certain point.
Well, everything was going well in crysis land (except me having to turn on the dev console because i suck at crysis) then all of a sudden when I got to the 5th level i started to notice a small white square at the top left of the screen
