Hi guys! is it normal for my cpu to reach 68°C at max when playin dota 2? my idle temp is 32°C. Using stock cooler and stock clocks only.

My specs
cpu, AMD Vishera FX-8320 3.50 ghz
mobo, Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3
ram, Ram Gskills ripsaws x (4gbx2) ddr3 1866
hdd, WDC Blue
gpu, Sapphire HD 7870 XT w/Boost
psu, Seasonic M12II 520w 80+ br
atx, NZXT Source 210 Elite

Should i get an aftermarket cooler?

no this is high temp
it shouldnt reach 60 or 62 max ,
the max temp is not listed on amd , but its about 78-80 C when all cores are 100% used , i read it from some review about that cpu
and i 100% it will shutdown in 90 C

Yeah that is a high temp. My 8350 at stock goes to 47C to 53C while playing Crysis 3. And I am using a Noctua NH-U12P SE2 with the 90 degree rotation kit for AM3+
http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=productview&products...

Your Source 210s clearances

CPU Heatsink Support 160mm
VGA Clearance Maximum 230mm w/ hard drive, 330mm w/o hard drive
http://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/117-source-210-elite...

I hope you have all the 120mm fan slots filled in that case. If you don't you have have good reason to now.

Take a look at the NH-U-14S and NH-U12S too, they would work well for you too.

On the NH-D14, yeah it will be really close or not fit. The spec for the NH-D14 is 160mm tall without fan and the case spec is 160mm.
If that is the cooler you have to have maybe it is time to upgrade from your case to something slightly bigger from NZXT.

How about Deep Cool Ice Blade PRO V2.0 or Noctua NH-U12P SE2 CPU Cooler

Noctua's website lists the NH-U12P SE2 at 158mm so it should fit. The cheapest place I have found for that cooler is NCIX.com.
