Lenovo z585 CPU/GPU upgradeable?

Hey so I have no problem with the CPU and GPU i'm running right now. The A10-4600m with 7660g graphics. I pass on all cpu requirements, but fail alot on the gpu, mostly from dedicated memory. But I'd like to know what my mobo supports if anything. I have no problem with the cpu however i'd really like to know if theres another cpu with better gpu along with it. I'm almost positive that the gpu is soldered onto the cpu so upgrading that doesn't seem possible. Any ideas or solution please comment.

  1. Most laptop cpus are not replaceable so you are most likely not going to be able to upgrade. All laptop gpus are integrated into the cpu in one of the cores so to upgrade that you need to upgrade the cpu, which in almost all cases you cant. Laptops will almost always fall behind in gaming, so a desktop is a better choice for gaming with a dedicated gpu.

Yeah i figured that, just wanted to know if this computer was "special" in some sense. What makes a CPU not upgrade able. are they soldered on?

Some are integrated into the board, some others have specific boards that only work with that processor, so even on the ones you can get the cpu out, the only one that fits is the same one.
