laptop heat problem

Hi everyone,

I have HP g62 laptop that gets hot on the left side of the computer only. I have taken the computer apart and cleaned all of the dust from the fan and other components but I am still having the same problem. I can hear and feel the fan working also. I am asking for advice on how to fix this issue.

Well, you will feel the heat on the area of the laptop which is generating the most heat, usually the processor is there.

As for fixing the problem, there can be a million reasons why it's hot. What kind of load is the CPU under? Are you laying it on a low air flow surface? Have you dropped/damaged the laptop in anyway?

The fan is going because it's trying to cool down a hot processor or other system component.
