monitor no signal detected

hi, i have a gt 240 and im using it for 2 years now, thismorning when i turned on my computer, it stops in after the windows 8 loading screen and will display no signal detected, what could be the problem?

yes, i've updated it yesterday. i have a samsung 18.5 inch monitor and an inno3d gt240

remove the GPU, reseat it then go to the bios and select the pcie x16 lane. for some reason i think your bios has been altered.

Finally I've fixed it, i've selected in the intel bios the PCI express lane x16 because it is in integrated graphics. I've been suspecting that my cousin messed up with the bios. thanks a lot
