Mr Rig :

MOBO : dx58so
CPU : i7 920 oc at 3.4 GHz
RAM : 16BG Kingston HyperX Blu Red
GRAPHICS : gtx480
PS : 850W inwin
I have above specs but my Hard Drivers are pretty ordinary Hitachi Desk Stars (7200). So I fear that my rig's performance are bottle necked by them. So i need to go for 2 SSDs

1. to install the OS, so 120 GB capacity will be enough..
2. to have my ongoing project assets (im a 3d artist) 512 GB one

my idea is to have all my ongoing project assets on the 512 SSD while working on it and when project is done, archive it and move to my hard discs.

so i need help in finding best SSDs that will match my performance. because of my profession, i look for both speed and reliability and of cause, price. ( my budget is somewhat 500 - 600 USD )

More about : find suitable ssds

How about you post whats available to you and we'll help narrow it down.

Also get your self a backup drive if you dont have one. Never trust your important data to just one drive. If you need to know why then just look at the first page of this storage section and look at all the posts of people needing to get their files back.

Here's the Cheapest 128GB Samsung 840 PRO on ebay: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Samsung-840-Pro-128-GB-Internal-...

Apparently the 512GB Samsung 840 Pro is too expensive on ebay especially shipping to sri lanka, but here's another great SSD, great price and reliability: Crucial M4 512GB http://www.ebay.ca/itm/NEW-Crucial-M4-SSD-512GB-2-5-CT5...

If you're looking for a 500gb range ssd, don't overlook the 500gb (non-pro) 840. I cant get to ebay from work otherwise I'd post a link.
