Here it goes I want to play MW3 on PC and I am not sure what route to take.

I tried simulating a gamepad with xpadder but it's not bring me any justice what so ever because there are just to many keyboard commands to map the buttons to a controller. Wasted my Sunday just to learn this.

Does getting MW3 on disc from Gamestop make it compatible with a gamepad like the PowerA Fusion Tournament controller for exampe? I have Skyrim and I can just plug in my Fusion controller and play but I bought that in store and installed I didn't download like with MW3. Also if getting the disc doesn't help with some type of gamepad compatibility what type of mouse and keypad should I consider. Honestly I would like to avoid the keyboard at all cost if possible.

Being used to gamepads a keypad would be my preferred choice but seems like the only brand out there is Razor and I see a lot of bad reviews so I am hesitant. If you guys could help me out here it would be great?!

Solution
If the game itself supports controller integration, you should just be able to plug in any Xbox 360 controller and have it run without any need for middle-man software.
If it doesnt, then your stuck to using middle man software like what you have dealt with to get it to work.
Dont see how the digital and retailer versions would differ in this aspect.

I see. Well just thought I would ask. It's just that even with xpadder there are just too many more buttons for a keyboard than what i can map with an xbox controller like reload and picking up a weapon have to be set to 2 differen buttons then each killstreak also as it's own button on a keyboard for MW3. So xpadder really brings no justice to FPS games for PC. Got any suggestions on a keypad?

Aren't Kill-Streaks tied to the D-Pad on a controller? You should be able to map them to the keys, same with stick clicks.
You can probably assign multiple keys to the same button, which wouldn't be the most ideal solution but I think the game will be playable.

The only keypads I know of is the Razer Nostromo or the Orbweaver.
Razer IMO do good peripherals, particularly more toward your mouse products (not so much keyboards). I love my Razer Deathadder 2013, and have been using a Carcharias headset for years now.

Tried it for MW3 won't work only certain functions will take multiple keys but when I try to set all the killstreaks to just one button it removes the last set key so yea I got the shaft lol!
