Hey guys, I just did a new build about a month ago and went through 2 bad power supplies. Both had a terrible case of coil whine and were extremely loud.

The first psu I got was the corsair tx850m
Right now, I have a loud seasonic x-series 750w

So my question is, should I rma my seasonic and get another one? Or is there a different psu I can buy that is guaranteed to be silent?

Any help is much appreciated!

I dunno if you should and I am certainly no expert but if you want to change you can check out Cooler Master Silent Pro M series, they have really low noise and ripple levels and they can deliver the labelled wattage at high temperatures.

On the other, stay away from Thermaltake TR2 RX 750w specifically.

Yeah I agree, Thermaltake is not a trusted vendor for power supplies.

I own 2 XFX'S 750's Black Edition made by Seasonic , and 1 Seasonic X650 with no issues so far.

Yeah I have a Seasonic S12 II 430W and a Seasonic X750 Gold and both have been flawless.
