Gigabyte X58 UD4P RAM Upgrade

Hey guys :)

I have been running a Intel Core i7 CPU 920 with a GA EX58-UD4P and still is all running perfectly well. Anyway I am running 6gb of triple channel ram and just need an upgrade and just wondering what to get? Is there any triple channel kits? Is there still any RAM out there that is compatible with this motherboard? Is any of the latest RAM out compatible?

All the manual says is;
6 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 24 GB of system memory
Dual/3 channel memory architecture
Support for DDR3 2100/1333/1066/800 MHz memory modules

I don't really mind if its not triple channel just looking for some recommendations as I know the 1366 pin motherboards where discontinued a long time ago.

Thanks :)

  1. Hello,:hello:

    What is the current speed you are running, the CL timings and voltage or let me know the mfg part number of the memory? How much memory are you looking to upgrade, is it 12GB or more? Are you willing to replace the existing memory or install the new along with the existing ? Yes, there is.

    If you need normal memory, i mean ValueRAM then try this one - (Click here)

    Or if you need advanced RAM then lemme know.

    Mixing memory kits is not a good idea and it is not recommended by many as you may face some issues trying to get the new memory work along with the existing. It is always better to go with a new set of memory. Something which I think you need to think about.

    Cheers, mate!!

    Well, then try getting 1600MHz nothing above than that 1866MHz.
    You can try getting GSkill RipJawz or Ares (Low Profile) 12GB kit (3 x 4GB). Try www.newegg.com or www.Amazon.com for memory.

    Good luck!!!
