Tomorrow I'll be receiving the final parts for my gaming pc, as it is the first pc I'll be building myself I want to know everything I need to know (ofcourse). The question I have right now is: ofcourse I'll apply thermal paste on the surface of my CPU but, do I need to clean my CPU heat sink when it comes with pre-applied thermal paste? Or do I just put a vertical line on the CPU and put the heat sink on it. The thermal compound I'll use is the Arctic Silver 5.
