GPU fan making a weird buzzing sound.

Hi.

I'm having a problem with my sapphire 7780 oc edition making a buzzing sound when the gpu fan approaches 70-80% but disappear when i hit 100%, when I'm playing games the weird sound is consistent but when i start to close the game the sound will ramp up and then disappear.

btw my gpu is 2 months old and this is the first time it happened.

congratz... you are AMD user.

AMD is famous with its coil whining, which is pretty common even with their top notch gpu's. there isnt much you can do about it, other than applying custom fan speeds to lower the noise while it also suits your needs as you may accept the weird coil whine.

I also had the same problem with my first 7870xt but it died while I was overclocking it and I got lucky they accepted my RMA. The second card luckily doesnt have the problem. So I guess I'm happy lol. Good luck with yours.

never try to open the gpu yourself anyway! (until the warranty expires lol)
you can only do some software tweaking...
