Amd 7970 bus interface problem

I have Sapphire 7970 ghz vapor-x
in GPU-Z the Bus Interface shows that I am running @8x 3.0 instead of @16x 3.0
I have the latest drivers and I ran the GPU-Z render test to make sure every thing is right and it didn't work
I've installed it on the top PCI-E

intel core i7 3770k
Gigabyte G1 Sniper m3
16 gigs ram

That's the reason then, that's making the motherboard divide the x16 link into x8 for each of the occupied slots. Try moving the WiFi card to the other unoccupied slot, that gets an x4 link from the PCH instead of the x8 from the CPU. Then the graphics card should get the full x16 link from the CPU.

Fair enough. That is odd. Do you have anything installed in the other full-sized PCIe slots?

Anyhow, you're not actually losing any performance from running at x8 rather than x16, as long as it's 3.0 there's still plenty of bandwidth with an 8-lane connection.

unfortunately I cant
I only have the lowest one available which is 8x
is there any solution from the bios ?
