I dont have any Sata 3 cables anywhere so I need to know whether these come with them and if not what i need to buy?

Also some people say Seagate drives are bad, because an extra 1tb for only an extra £15 sounds great but can I trust Seagate?

My friend has that Seagate drive and it's working fine. I'm also planning to buy the same Seagate drive. Also no they don't come with the cables.

First off, no they do not come with "sata 3 cables". Also, read the second post in this thread: http://www.overclock.net/t/1188422/difference-between-sata-ii-and-sata-iii-cables

As a general rule, there is no such thing as a difference in data transfer cables. There are some exceptions such as shielded cables vs non-shielded cables but the circumstances in which you would actually need/benefit from a shielded cable are few and far in between. It has been tested to death as to whether or not "high speed" or "high quality" cables are any better and the answer is no.

if you have regular sata cables, you can use those, and experience sata 3 speeds.
