Being fairly new to computers, my freind offered to go through my bios to optimize my computer's performance in ways I might have missed. I had previously set my computer to start up in the super quick mode. Unfortunately, you have to clear the CMOS before you can again access the bios with that mode selected. Being ignorant of the fact that you should not clear the CMOS while the computer is on, I did just that. Dr Debug gives me error code A2 "IDE Detect" and nothing displays on the monitor. I have tried contacting ASROCK and searched a couple of forums, but to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Solution
do anything posible ... not just same clear CMOS but this maybe can do it .. unplug power AC from PSU , take off battery mobo let 10 minutes ( same like clear CMOS jumper ) ..check anything properly , remove RAM try at another Slot , change other cables HDD try in different Slot .. and it will good if you try out off case ..
try on the PC without HDD .. if can go boot it mean your HDD/SSD under trouble just @suggestion and good luck

I tried what you said, but it didn't produce any visible results. I put my Windows 8 disk in my disk drive (external) to try and reinstall it, but my monitor remains black so I don't know if it is working or not.
