How long will the GTX 760 last for gaming on Max/High at 1080p

I was recommended this over a 770 to save money. How long would it last? I would like 2-3 years

  1. This is subjective.
Don't overclock it, cool your PC and you can go up to 3-5 years.
Also, what games are you playing?
    Different games have different specs.
  2. What CPU do you have and what is your budget also how many monitors do you run off one platform?

Both are 7 series cards and will last pretty much equally, what matters most are your requirements.

If both cards have a 3-4 year life span you'll be wanting the card that best fits your needs.

It would be battlefield 4 assassins creed, just cause 3 (if its released during this time frame) crysis 3, and similar games

AMD FX 8320 (probably over clocked)
    One 1080p monitor
  5. Playing max on those games are obviously more taxing.
But it should at least last for 2 years...
    Also, there's the warranty :D

Since it's just one monitor, its fine.
    I have a HD7850 and a 1080p monitor.
I run max on most games I play and my GPU has never reached 55C even though I live in SEA. (PS no air-cond)

The GTX 760 comes up at around $250 where as the GTX 770 is more like $400.

For one screen at 1080p the GTX 760 is pretty much the equivalent of a HD 7950 if not slightly faster which is fine for 1080p gaming.

Unless you have money to burn then saving $150 is the option id go for, the price difference is pretty dramatic.
