I am trying to extend the signal from my apartment a - where my boyfriend lives to apartment c - where I live. There is an apartment in between us and so the signal I get in apartment c is very minimal. I bought an asus-rt-ac66r 200.00 from best buy (they said it was the best). It doesn't give set up instructions to make it a signal repeater. My bf in apartment a has a router/modem combo from his cable company. How do I do this so my son can play on the ps3 network?

You actually need two ASUS RT AC66U units to do an AC wireless bridge, which will extend the signal to you easily -- the first needs to be the main router in Apt A set up in wireless router mode, and then the unit in your apartment needs to be configured in the media bridge mode like THIS.
