Will ram prices drop anytime soon?

I remember when you could get 8Gb of Ram for just under $40, now the cheapest I find is about $62.

Anyone know when it will drop back down again? I should've listened to everyone who said "Get a ton of ram now because it's really cheap" Lol.

still relatively cheap compared to the DDR2 price fixing days.....

I remember paying $340.00+ USD for matched 1GB GEIL memory sticks. You can get 16GB of DDR3 for less than $150 today.

At the moment, don't expect any drops soon, things are in flux in the chip market and the manufacturers of both the ICs and DRAM DIMMS are looking forward to DDR4
