So, awhile back my parents bought me a computer. Then yesterday, for my birthday, my parents bought me a 660 ti and thermaltake smart series 850w. But the problem is I'm not getting any picture. But even when I put the other graphics card in I'm not getting any either. Anyone know where I could've gone wrong?

EDIT: I probably should have said this but I'm pretty sure that the card is getting power, considering the fan is spinning.

Solution

Unplug the PC from power, take out the CMOS battery for abut 10 seconds. There should also be a reset jumper or switch on the mothrobard, usually near the battery.
Did you follow the instructions? They tend to have pretty specific instructions about how to uninstall the old card and put in a new one. Plus your PCIe slot may not work with the card, you could have installed it wrong which also could have fried the PCIe slot (rare but it happens).

Yeah, I made sure to connect the two six pin connectors

The instructions that came with the card only had the scenario in which i didn't have a previous card. It only told me put the card into the PCIe slot closest to the CPU, put in the 6 pin power plugs, connect to to the display, then install my drivers.

I'm not getting picture at all, I've checked the cable connections three times, and have even redone twice. I guess my best option is a BIOS reset. Would you mind telling me how to do that?
