I am trying to configure the graphics on this MB. I currently have default adapter set to AUTO. I have loaded all drivers. I have a dGPU in a PCIe slot. If I connect the monitor to the dGPU socket it appears to run OK EXCEPT that it will randomly lockup within 3 hours. If I connect to the iGPU socket it does not lockup.

However, when I boot with it connected to the iGPU i get no video until windows boots (W7). So I can't get into the BIOS or anything else before then. If I connect to the dGPU the boot process & menus appear normally. I have Lucida MVP loaded and the control panel is active along with the intel graphic control panel.

How do I get this configured properly???????????

Virtualization is not on -- what does this do??????

If I set bios to iGPU as default the only resolution available is 640x480. If I set it to PCIe I never get any video regardless of what I am connected to.

The rest of my BIOS settings r default. ASUS says RMA the MB.
I say it is the configuration.

W7 Ult
GT560-Ti dGPU
i7-3770K
Crucial 2x8GB 1866 Memory

Solution
if you can go windows with gtx560 try uninstall Lucida MVP ..after uninstall restart and go bios set first IGPU>save>boot hear beep change cable from dgPU to onboard slot , if you want to use the dGPU do the opposite just@suggestion and good luck

thx for the reply. I want this to work the way it was designed. I don't want to have to change the cable every time i boot.

So I started from scratch. Here is where I am so far.
Previously loaded all drivers, Intel control panel, and Lucid MVP. Removed dGPU and reset CMOS. Booted with default BIOS config and no dGPU.
Previously loaded MVP did not load. Intel control panel is loaded and functions.
nVidia Control panel says there is no card. (correct)
Graphics booted at 1920x1080 res. It appears like no problems. Am not running long in this mode. I can boot into safe mode and get to the BIOS but I must do it blind. Start hitting F8 when I see the screen going to sleep screen. Hitting F8 causes the ASUS boot screen to show and I can get to setup from there or continue and get to safe mode.

Next: Add dGPU card.
Reboot, No video. The reason for this is that bit is not set in BIOS so the dual graphics doesn't work. My assumption is that with the dGPU plugged in the BIOS shuts down the iGPU unless that bit is set.
Changed connection to dGPU and video OK. Neither IGCP or MVP started. nVidia control panel works now. This is (almost) the config that previously caused the sys to hang. I can't remember if it was with or w/o that bit set. I may have tried it both ways. I guess I will run it this way for a while to see.

more to come.
