Did my GPU just die?

So I've had a 7950 Dual-X for about 2 months now, and today, i went to store and bought a new CPU, motherboard, ram, and heatsink.. It was going great for about 7 hours, then my computer just shut off by itself. I gave it a couple of minutes to cool off, but it wasnt detected by the monitor. So I plugged in my DVI cable into the motherboard, and it worked fine.
So this is what i tried:
1) Unplugging the PCI-E cables and replugging them
2) Trying the second DVI slot on the gpu.
3) Giving it some time to cool off.

Also, note: I checked the temps of my CPU, they're in around 40degrees Celsius. I also checked my mobo temp, it was about 30 degrees Celsius. I'm honestly freaking out, what do i do?

EDIT: I forgot to mention the biggest clue, i was playing CSGO and it just randomly took me to the "HDMI Not Detected" screen.

I'd try booting it from your on board connection and removing all drivers related to the card. See if it then work and if it does reinstall the latest drivers.
Failing that it may well be dead and time to check the manufacturers forum so they can talk you through a test before RMA if it's still under warranty

But it's not even working in the boot screen, so how could drivers affect it?

Tried, and no luck so far. Just tried the second PCI-E slot, and also not working.

Oh well, I've got 10 months left on my warranty, i'll let the retailer deal with it.

Thanks for the help! I'll keep you uptaded!
