I have a Nanoxia deep silence 1 cabinet and a corsair H100i, i wanted to upgrade to a more silent cpu cooler and i choose the corsair H100i. The corsair is not for nise sensitive people, maby with new fans, with std fans they surprisingly noise (at full speed they disappoint)

I know the noctua NH-D14 is one of the ultimate air cpu cooler, despite being a model that's more then 3 years it's the air cooler everbody wants and other compare air cooler's and closed water cooling systems to.

I have an i7 870 cpu and want a silent cpu cooler that can keep my cpu at 60 degreess (celsius) or colder and silent.

I can keep it at 60 degrees at the moment when i play crysis and have my corsair running very slow .

Theres someone who want's to buy my corsair for what a Noctua NH-D14 costs and if i do that i would like him not to wait so long before he can buy it (and i can get a Noctua)

What's your opinion keep my Corsair or sell it an get the Noctua?

Solution
If you want quiet, the noctua will be superior.
Noise comes from fans, and how many rpm's they run at.
The noctua fans are slower running and you will hardly heat them when running full out.
Just my opinion.

It will definitely be the H100i as that is a water cooler. I have the h60 push pull config and the loudest thing in my PC is the GPU. liquid coolers are meant to be quiet and the ultimate cooling solution, I would recommend the H100i, your temps will be incredible and it will allow for you to overclock a little or a lot more.

Just not shure if it's the fans, the pump or both i hear, i feel i can hear the fans, just not shure if i can hear the pumps. Noctua fans are to expensive, i am considering the corsair sp pwm (non quiet) have 3 corsair af quiet and they are quiet, silent i have been advised not to get the corsair sp quiet fans
