It goes beyond just fitting as we do not know if your building a ATX, Micro ATX, or ITX computer. So saying "as long as it fits" is a bit broad

next time some one asks that with out the list of parts just tell them "yea it will fit right where the motherboard goes" lulz. would either of the cases listed above fit the cooler inside? id just rather not have any parts on the outside of trhe case to get damaged.

No you will not be able to fit both fans and cooler inside without hitting the mosfet heatsinks on the motherboard.

You may want to look into the COOLER MASTER N400 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

It is designed for you to install a 240 radiator on the motherboard tray behind the harddrive cage along with fans.

thanks for the straight forward answer and the recommendation for that case. any chance you know of another one that looks better or would be easy to spray paint that can also fit that cooler? and on more thing how much of a difference does this double fan cooler have over a single one?

If you are not overclocking then a single fan will do, if you are over clocking or using a AMD oven for a processor then a double will do. It gets more complicated as now there are double thick 120mm radiators along with 140mm radiators like the NZXT Kraken.

Any other case recommendation will be a bigger case, most likely an uglier case too. The Bitphoenix Prodigy is good but its microITX
