I have just finished building my new pc and installing windows 8 and everything is working fine, but for some reason the desktop is showing everything a little bit larger than it should, I have my resolution set to 1920 x 1080 and its still not changing. I installed windows 8 on my laptop a few days ago and I don't have this problem, take a look at the 2 pictures below to see the difference.

It may not look very noticeable on here but on a 47 inch monitor its quite a big difference, especially the icons and taskbar, does anyone have any idea how to fix it?

Thanks.

Well it wasn't exactly what you said to do that's why it didn't make sense. I actually had to right click desktop> screen resolution> make text and other items larger or smaller> then change to 100%. So your instructions were not completely clear, so no need to be cocky. But thanks for pointing me in the right direction :p

I'm not talking about you mate when I said that. I'm talking to the guy who said that "it really makes no sense". By the way, just message me if you still do have more questions, I'll answer. :)
You're welcome by the way...
