I broke broke down and bought my wife the Sony CX220 (so she wouldn't use mine). It came with a NP-FV30 battery. My CX100 uses a NP-FH40 battery. The new Sony BC-TRV wall charger states it will charge V, P, and H. I have the prior BC-TRP discontinued charger for my NP-FH40 battery.

Based on some logic, my BC-TRP ought to charge the newer NP-FV30 battery - yeah or nay?

And since they are both 7.2 volts, another piece of logic would indicate the older NP-FH40 battery would work in place of the FV-30 battery on the new CX220 - yeah or nay?

Thanks.

From what I could find it does look as though the batteries are interchangeable and it looks as though your charger should be able to charge both.
Though not the same batteries you mentioned here is a comparison between and FH and an FV: http://store.sony.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/SYCompa...
