Old CPU was bottlenecking the 650TI. Time for an upgrade. This would be first time building a PC so please any advice is helpful.

I wouldn't run an FX 8350 on a 760G board. Try for a good 970 board at minimum.

Thank you montosaurous for bringing that to my attention, did a thread search about the difference in 9xx, 8xx and now I understand.
It's a learning process...I noticed that there's not too many uATX 970, so I guess Ill bump up to ATX, so now your saying min.970 that leaves 980 and 990 choices then?

A 970 board is fine, it just can't overclock as well as 990FX boards (with the exception of the Asus M5A97 EVO) and doesn't have great support for multiple video cards. An Asus M5A97 R2.0 is a decent amount more expensive than the current board you selected, but should serve you very well.

Got it. After posting a few threads your the only one who suggested using a min. 970. I did find other threads though only after learning the difference in MB's. Asus M5A97 R2.0 is good value I think and a perfect starting point.

Thanks again have a great rest of the week. Now I just wait for shipping to arrive.
