I recommend using an APU or a separate GPU. (Not both) I have not heard good things about hybrid crossfire, and if you are planning on using separate GPU from the start, you can get a stronger CPU for the same money you plan to spend on the APU.


FWIW, I just helped my son build a budget computer for playing Minecraft. (Using a 5800k) I was surprised to find that it can actually play Crysis 3 1440X900 resolution with 8G of RAM overclocked to 1866. (The GPU is running a little under 1Ghz)
