I use this computer for gaming and I'd like to know which part i should upgrade next for higher performance during gaming sessions. So should i get a intel 3770k or a gtx 770.

Solution
Firstly, are you overclocked?

if you have overclocked the 2500k, then an upgrade to the 3770k will not show a major difference unless you do 3d modelling and other tasks like that. hyperthreading is not beneficial to many games, but in the future it may become more useful, as is shown by crysis 3

on the other hand, the 770 will give you a performance boost, as it is essentially a overclocked rebadged 680.

your system is fine as it is IMO, and should perform fine for a year or two with its current specs, however i think the 770 would be the better upgrade of the two

I think you should get the gtx 770. Seeing as the next gen consoles are going to be coming out this year I would make sure your rig would be a lot better than console graphics.

not sure if were actually supposed to talk about overclocking on here, but have a go at it, just dont go overkill. change the speed in small increasing increments, and check stability. you may need an aftermarket cooler if you dont have one already.
that should prevent any CPU bottleneck for the GTX 770, not that a 2500k at stock is a bottleneck for anything
