If this is your HP: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c02479710&prodSeriesId=4269980 ... it doesn't even have a PCIe x16 slot. You will be limited to the x1 slot. And low profile cards for that slot are scarce and not very fast. Add to that, a very anemic power supply.
