My keyboard and mouse will decide to stop responding. The lights flicker on my keyboard, which then to nothing being able to work. My mouse also stops when my keyboard spas's out. I'm not sure what it is. I have tried to unplug them and re-plug them, but that does not seem to work.

I have updated my chipbits. I ran a Pre-boot Diagnosis. It says that my memory fails and gives me an error code:2000-0123.

The Drivers to my all up to date aswell.

Does this affect my keyboard and mouse? I really need help.
(I don't know much about computers)

by memory you mean the RAM?
I don't think RAM actually affects the mouse and keyboard.
Have you tried using them on other PCs to see if its the peripherals' fault?

My mouse was practically dead. I haven't tried my keyboard on anything else. I'm thinking it might be my board. I'll try it on another PC.

Did you have any luck resolving this? I am having the same issue.

Black-widow keyboard starts blinking and stops responding and my RAT 7 mouse shuts off.

However, my PC is still responsive and I have to power cycle the PC to bring them back.

There are no events logged, it happens completely randomly, I've updated\reset BIOS, checked for any virus\spyware\malware.

I have ASUS P8Z68-V, Intel i5-2500k.
