Having hard time finding monitor, any help?

So i get my new pc tomorrow, i7 4770, gtx 780, 16gb ram, wanting to run a single monitor, hardcore gaming, screen size no smaller than 24"

Im confused by all response times, resolutions and everything.

Also not sure about 60hz or 120hz

I just want the best i can buy for my budget of around £200-£300

I'd highly recommend several ASUS models - the MX239H, PA238Q and PB238Q. Alternatively, Iiyama have some good options too. You know the GTX780 will only deliver 15% more performance than a GTX770 though? That's enough to turn 30fps into 34fps - not a huge improvement for the huge price increase.
