I marched into a games store, brought Assassin's Creed 3 CD and then in my computer I copied all files from the 4 cds to one folder in f:/. Then I ran the installer and the game was installed correctly. It had worked for 3 months perfectly untill today I had noticed something. When I click on ac3sp.exe file, my cursor disappears and a dialog box comes saying that ac3.exe has stopped working. Then I had t press ctrl+alt+del to bring out task manager. This continued for happening for 5 weeks untill I finally came to toms hardware. I have been searching google and youtube all day long but I have found nothing. Please help me asap- I donot have any other game in my pc and i donot have anything to do in my house- to be honest. I have applied all cracks and patches but nothing happens. There is another problem- I cant find the save game folder! I have searched appdata, programdata, program files. program files (x86) and personal files, but i had found nothing. please help!

You want a Answer? Go BUY THE GAME u fellow pirate.. Toms does not support piracy.. u clearly indicated you bought a pirated version as no game will allow you to copy the orginal files to the computer without any form of DRM.. BUY THE ORIGINAL & ULL BE PROBLEM FREE... people stop giving solutions for pirated copies...

Solution that worked for me: bought ac3 cd ver. After installation launcher said ac3sp.exe has stopped working ... finally found out that my prosessor was the reason. I have intel i5 4670k 3.4Ghz but when I opened system information found out that my computer had changed the system bios settings. It seemed sth like this i5 4670k 3.4Ghz @ 880Mhz. Well it should be seeing like this intel i5 4670k 3.4Ghz @ 3.4Ghz. To fix problem go to BIOS and load default settings. No need to upgrade or downclock your gpu. My system 3.4Ghz ram 8GB 2400 and gpu is gtx 780 ocdc2

Sry my grammar sucks so plz forgive me

I’ve been in contact with Ubisoft customer support for about a month now and have tried everything from updating my DirectX and DotNet software to ensuring I have the latest firmware and drivers for my video card, sound card, and all peripherals. I even went as far as a fresh install of Windows with minimal audio and video drivers and I still couldn’t get AC3 to start. In fact, I’ve been having issues with other games I couldn’t explain until I narrowed the issue to my BIOS.

Now, my firmware has been updated to the latest version (I own an ASUS ROG Maximus Hero IV), but I know I had gone in and played with the XMP memory profiles and performed a little overclocking on the CPU in the last couple of months. All of my system instability and game crashes were fixed by resetting my BIOS to safe/factory defaults! Any overclocking or tweaking I’ve done since has been through the AI Suite provided by ASUS (and my system continues to run stable).

I hope this helps!
