I just upgrade from a core 2 quad 2.5 ghz with 2x2 gb 800 of ram to a core i5 4570 with 1x4 gb of ram.

Before upgrading, I was suggested to buy 2x2 ram because the dual channel feature but I decided to get 1x4 so in the future I could upgrade my ram capacity to 16 gb without having the thought of wasting 2x2 .

So, another 4 gb stick would increase my fps? by how much?, currently I cant just buy more ram just because is cheap BUT, if doing this would increase my fps I would do it.

PC:
i5 4570
GTX 550 TI 1 gb
MSI H87M G43
4 GB RAM 1600 mhz corsair vengeance ( My mobo detect1333 for some reason...)

Solution
if you are using a discrete gpu, you wont see any real performance gain from single to dual channel memory. your gpus vram has more of an influence rather than system ram

Depends on the game, some games have a cap on how much RAM they can use while others benefit more from how much RAM you have and then it doesn't really help after a certain point. You have the option though of buying faster RAM.

I wish I could do that but I spend my money on the cpu, mobo and ram.

Yeap, I thought the previous title was clearly enough, but it wasn't.

If you are using A AMD system the higher the ram speed the better the more the better if intel 8 gigs is enough. I am amd at the moment most my system are 8 8 8 and 16 in that ordeal as ram and speeds are 1600 1600 1600 and 1866...... do I notice a difference no in real life but in benches yes I do! 1866 is somewhat faster.
