In my list I have an Asus M5A97 R2.0. Are you seeing an MSI board?

What wattage and brand would you recommend. I have a lot of seen good things about Raidmax on newegg and amazon.

some people have good experiences with them, and some dont. how much is your budget? i personally have a Corsair HX750, but thats probably out of your budget? i see the Raidmax RX 850AE has good reviews, not sure about the others.

raidmax will do, and you can return it if it has problems of course. if you can, try to get the 700w raidmax instead, as the 8350 uses a lot of power if you overclock it, which you clearly plan to do with the hyper 212 ;)the rest of the system looks good, hope it works out well for you.

^this turns out to be 44.99 with the mail in rebate, and gives you some more headroom. without the rebate, your total should be about $885

Solution
The motherboard you have picked is really good I think he mistook the MSI in your GPU for the motherboard. That said I have had many MSI motherboards over the years all AMD based and have yet to have one go out they all still work in system today.

As for the PSU try to get a good 700-750watt from say Corsair Antec Seasonic. The thing to really remember when building a new system the PSU is like the heart of your system and there fore one of the more critical components in it.

And for the ram I would really try to go for something from say G. Skill Corsair although I have never used ram from Wintec so I can't really say for sure.

remember OP said he has a max budget of $890. i would have recommended a corsair or seasonic, but any i could find pushed the price over budget by at least $50

Sorry, I wasn't very clear there. What I was referring to was your GPU. I just don't trust MSI due to that particular experience I mentioned early. That is just my opinion though.

What do you think would be a good wattage that would give me room for adding another 7970 down the line?
