GTX 770 recommended power supply

Hi, I have just bought a Zotac GTX 770

it says on their website that the recommended Psu for it should be 600w or greater.

I've tested it earlier on my 525w psu and its running fine although i think its not a good idea to keep using the 525w psu to power it.

I'm thinking of upgrading to a 875 psu.

will the 875 psu be enough? I've got an alienware aurora, that's why i need that specific Power supply.

the idea is this: @ lower loads the PSU has better efficiency. The sweet spot is arround 50 -70% (even with the 80+ certificates).
Less load = better efficiency, less heat and future proof if you want to SLI in the future :)
I have the Corsair 800 GS (800 watt) even if the max load never passes 450 W :)

ofc the 875 watt is enough ... the GTX770 with all the system will run at around 500 watts ... iyou just need 600 watts to run your system...

and by the way , looking at Dell PSU screws , this is a normal ATX power supply ..

what do you mean by its a "normal" atx power supply? does that mean the psu posted on the link will not be good?

good 870 watts power supply start at around $100 , I have NO IDEA how a 870 watts SILVER powersupply is being sold for 50$ only lol

but if it is DELL then it will work I guess , be sure it is not a fake dell ...

check the powersupplies in new egg , you will know what I mean. check for silver and Gold ones ...

I was hoping to buy the one posted on the link as I dont want to rewire the whole computer (alienware aurora) as I am not sure If I can get away with a non proprietary power supply. the power supplies for alienware's only use 1 proprietary molex cable to the power supply. Just be sure it is the Original DELL , not some fake power supply made in china with a fake printed "sticker" on it ...

there is no way a 870 WATT Silver being sold for less than 100$ .. lol I dunno ... how much is it at DELL ? if you Buy Direct?

I'm pretty sure buying at straight from dell would totally be a rip off, also i don't think its fake as the item comes from a very reputable seller on ebay. they have a very high positive feedback
99.6% positive feedbacks on 12719 transaction in the past 12 months.

silver rated 870WATTS cant be sold for 50$ whatsoever , maybe be they are repaired though refurbushed, could be.
