I have assembled a new computer , specs are i3 - 3220 , 1tb HDD , 4 GD DDR3 , integrated graphic card , 200 W PSU . The avg temp for cpu is showing 72' C . is this temp ok or its too high . Sometime it shuts down automatically. How can i reduce the temp as i have gone through specs of i3 in intels website it shows temp as 52' C.

Personally I don't like the idea of running a 200 Watt PSU. Hardware draws from the PSU and if its having trouble drawing it it strains the hardware and increases the heat in the process. This will also shorten the lifespan of the hardware.

Prashant u must be from india

We in india have many low end cases i think that is the reason get the fans for the case
Best in india are cooler master 90cfm fans arnd 400rs on flipkart

Or if u have a decent case then get a hyper 212 evo arnd 2600-2800 rs

Does really my computer require 500 W SMPS ? I am using Zebronics ... on it its written 450W but i dont think so that its more than 200 W . Do we have any means by which we can find out the real wattage?

There is nothin like real wattage

Just check the amps of current
If multiple 12v output then total it and subtract 5-7 amp

500w be an upgrade with which u can power nearly any graphics card or cpu

These smps like zebronics are low frade and can harm the system in long run

The only way to find out the actual output of your PSU would be to put it on a PSU tester.

make sure the thermal paste on the CPU is properly applied
get a couple of case fans
get a better PSU from these brands: Antec, Corsair, Seasonic, XFX

One hook of my cpu fan was not fitted properly ....... I unhooked and hooked all four pins properly now .... after restaring the pc the temp now showing at 46' C . Wow what a diff just one slight loose hook can make.
