I have this laptop - Samsung np550p5c s04in
GPU - GT 650M 2GB

I saw many videos on youtube of this card and they are playing battlefield 3 crysis 2 on HIGH settings with this card and same specs...

But in my laptop RE6 on LOW settings on LOWEST resolution is LAGGING o_O o_O

And not only Re6 all games even low graphics games are lagging and running on like 5-10 FPS

I done these things :

- NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL -> 3D settings -> Use NVIDIA GPU for games
- UPDATE NVIDIA DRIVERS to LATEST
- CHANGE WINDOWS 8 to 7
- Update all drivers

Still no LUCK ...

I dont know why this is happening all games should run like a charm on my laptop but they r not plzzzzzzz someone help me.

Solution
Sorry thought I answered this already. No, installing a new OS is not going to void the warranty. But you never tried to play any games on it while Window 8 was installed or did you install Windows 7 a few days ago?

Anyway I think the quickest and less painful solution is to take it back to and demand that they make it work as it was intended... Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

That card will by NO MEANS max out Battlefield 3 or Crysis 2. That is NOT a powerful card at all. Its fairly close in power to a desktop GT 630. You were misinformed, especially if you thought you were buying a gaming laptop.

first you should make sure you are plugged in and not running off the battery. second you should make sure your nvidia gpu is the primary gpu and not the crap integrated thing that comes with most intel processors these days. finally you should update your drivers. that should solve the problem. if not look at benchmarks of your card. i think you mentioned resident evil 6. i know for a fact that game has a benchmark tool. make sure you run that at the same resolution as other people you are looking at. that way your comparison would be of the exact same thing. and make sure you are looking at the laptop 650m not the 650 which is a desktop card and much more powerful. compare other people's performance with yours and then come back and see if there are massive differences. if you are still having trouble you could also potentially defrag your hard drive or try something like the razr boosting software (i forgot what it's called) that will temporarily close background apps, turn off aero and you can even have it turn off explorer (i think) while running games. however i don't think that will make a massive difference. also you might want to try completely disabling your antivirus while gaming. that could be it too. another thing you could try is playing at lower resolution. i also play on a laptop and i never go beyond 720p. sometimes this can make a difference especially if you go down from 1080p to 720p. i used to have a laptop with a 540m and i played crysis 2 at 800x600. i know i'm a clown but hey it still looked pretty and i had great framerates - to each his own. also on that 540m i used to be able to run bf3 at medium setting with only occasional slowdown at 720p. the 650m should be better so yeah i imagine it would be able to run bf3 even on high most of the time.

It mostly comes integrated with Windows on Nvidia laptops. Basically it's software that controls your GPU depending on the tasks you are doing. I don't have a Nvidia laptop myself but I've seen lots of people having similiar issues. One of the work arounds is to uninstall Optimus but unfortunately the only way to that is reinstalling a Windows version that doesn't have Optimus included.

I already reinstalled windows (win7) and installed latest NVIDIA DRIVERS (320.49 version) ... and i think its running OPTIMUS but still games are lagging.

Then you probably re-installed Windows with the CD that came with your laptop, which has Optimus integrated into Windows. If you want to get rid of Optimus you will have to download a Windows copy without it. You can still use your activation key with the downloaded copy (this is not illegal) .
Your problem is that Optimus is not working correctly. It is not switching over to your 650m GPU when you enter a game but instead it just uses the integrated intel GPU.
You can either fix this by removing Optimus, which will allow you laptop running the 650m all the time (which will take alot of your battery time)... or you can try the fix provided in the link above.

No i installed a clean copy of windows 7 without anything in it. And its not issue. coz
my games are using NVIDIA GPU i know .... i enabled something in NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL which comes on taskbar and tell us which program is using NVIDIA GPU ... from there i can see Resident Evil 6 and all other games are using NVIDIA GPU but still LAGGING ... i odnt know now where is the problem exactly............... >_< >_< >_<

Well you may say that the 650M is enabled when you game but I strongly doubt it with those fps. I don't think your system is switching from Intel's GPU. You are sure that the battery performance is at 100%?

Edit: I just read the manual of your laptop and Optimus tecnology is only sipported by the Windows 8 model? Did you buy the laptop with Windows 8?

Unfortunately I'm running out of ideas since I don't own a Nvidia laptop. You don't have a physical switch for GPU switching do you?
