Hi everyone, i have once tried to activate nVidia surround 3d and i worked! however the resolution was poor. The problem i had was that like one monitor was span over all 3. Is there a way to activate surround in such a fashion that the 3 monitors are apart? Like, now i dont have surround activated and thus my games which i play on one screen are rendered by one graphics card (depending on which screen i play), i want that both my graphics cards work together to do that.

So basically what i want is; i want to keep my setup the same: "monitors running apart from eachother" but being run not by the corresponding graphics card but by both.

My setup is:
Intel core i5 2500K
Asus P8Z68-V
16 GB Adata 1333mHz RAM
2x Nvidia GeForce GTX460
60GB Intel 520 SSD
3x 640GB HDD

Running Windows 8 Pro 64-bit

Thanks in advance!

Sli only supports 2 monitors in "focus mode". In this mode you chose a main screen or focus screen that is used for only gaming. The second screen can be used to for internet or whatever while gaming. The third screen must be disabled. In surround you can use all 3 monitors but the computer treats them like 1 super high resolution monitor. Unfortunately most games do not work with surround. To enable sli just open the NVidia control panel and click on sli. You can then turn on the second screen.

I think what you want to do is disable all of the monitors you are not gaming on. That will allow both of your graphics cards to work together on rendering content for that monitor. Do this through the Windows interface or the Nvidia control panel. Don't just turn them off.

By disabling a monitor, do you mean that it is not used?
