SSD losing boot priority

built a computer about 6 mo ago, built many before but first time with a ssd. in my plush area of cleveland we have a lot of power outages (very fast ones just off and on), and this problem also happens when someone bumps the plug from the wall. so what happens is my ssd loses boot priority to my other hd, and it tries to boot from the other hd that has no os on it. i have to go into bios and change the hardware boot priorities every time to fix the problem (which my wife can't seem to figure out when i'm not home.) Today, i woke up and the power must have gone off or something, and i couldn't find my ssd in bios, and also (maybe unrelated) my usb keyboard was being very slow to let me hit delete to enter the bios. to fix the problem i unplugged the ssd's power and also the keyboard while the computer was on, then plugged em back in and restarted the computer. i then got into bios quick and found my ssd and changed the boot priority to it, and the computer runs fine.

just wondering, do you think this is the ssd's problem, like it's dying or something, or cable's or settings? my goal is to not need to go into bios to switch priority every time, and to not have a hd that is gonna fail. here is my computer, and thanks so much for any help!
