I'm assembling a new gaming rig and I've my eyes set on HD 7950. I had totally decided to go for a Vapor X edition which was available for 23600 INR (~390$) here http://www.flipkart.com/sapphire-amd-ati-vapor-x-hd-7950-oc-boost-3-gb-gddr5-graphics-card/p/itmdh74z42djxeyu?pid=GRCDH6ZPF2RDGTBA&icmpid=reco_pp_historyFooter_graphics_card_3

But just as I got the money and rushed to the site .... it's out of stock. Anywhere else this card sells for 1500-3000 INR (25-50$) extra. So I think I'd rather get the dual X edition for 23300 (http://www.flipkart.com/sapphire-amd-ati-hd-7950-3gb-gddr5-boost-3-gb-graphics-card/p/itmdfyygkk2zwpjk?pid=GRCDC2QTBPZHV8HQ&icmpid=reco_pp_hSame_graphics_card_1)

OR do you think Vapor X will allow me to OC more at cooler temp? I'm thinking about OCing using the Trixxx software to 1150/1450. Will those Dual X fans be enough or I should shell out that much more for Vapor X?

A temp difference of ~7-8 C would change my mind, nothing less than that

I don't mind about noise. Are you sure the Vapor X is voltage locked? I mean the new ones with 2X 8pin PCIe power connectors not the old 6 pin+8 pin power connectors. If it were voltage locked how on earth are people going to extremes with OC on that Vapor X edition?

@byogamingpc, I'd have ordered from Amazon but I live in India. If I add shipping and the ridiculous customs duty Indian govt. charges it'll be 360$ plus I'll get no local warranty. Gigabyte cards are very rare to come by locally.
