What are some CPU upgrades for a gateway 4300-11 desktop with an AMD Phenom 2 x4 805 CPU? My CPU is damaged. I do not want to replace the mother board.

The best CPU it will take is the AMD Phenom II X4 980 Black Edition 3.7GHz Socket AM3 Quad-Core Desktop Processor, since the Phenom II 965 is usually listed as a "best value" CPU you should get that one.
