Couple of SSD Questions

I am considering buying a Kingston SSDNow V300 120Gb SSd. I just had a quick couple questions. First one, How do I install Windows 7 onto the ssd, I have the disk, do I just put it in and does it say which Hard drive I would like it on? Also, I was watching an installation video and it said to make sure the used space you have now, is larger than the ssd. I only plan on putting the OS on it, and having my HD right now just store all my files.

Solution

Yes, it's a BIOS setting.

Yes, it should be the same steps as installing on an HDD. However, make sure your BIOS is set up for AHCI. You want to do that before installing your OS.

Thank you for your help, and also USAfret Thank you too. Is AHCI a setting in BIOS? Do I need to install anything?
