Hi guys im new to this overclocking things and I have issues so far. I have my Q8300 CPU running at 3GHz on temps around 30-40 degrees celsius which isnt bad and you can adjust it higher than 400MHz FBS which is 3GHz. Also when I increase my FSB 10MHz more it simply wont boot or will get a hard drive error w.e my specs are
-Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 2.5GHz/ oc 3GHz
-4GB DDR2 800MHz Memory
-MSI Radeon HD 6770 1GB GDDR5
Core Clock: 900MHz Memory Clock: 1230
-1TB SATA Hard Drive
and my cooler is Cooler Master TX3
also I dont have anything like vcore in my bios I have VTT and is it my RAM thats causing issues!?!?

Solution
i think that board has some jumpers on it that will help you overclock.

[edit] i had the g41 board with the ddr2 and ddr3, and i accidentally managed to overclock a pentium e5400 to 3.8ghz and get it to boot into windows. lol

Hey finally some... thanks for the feedback yes I do have 3 jumpers on it and their lined up going vertical and you know they have 3 pin, well the jumper are to the left all of them and their is 1 pin remaining

lolol okay, move the top jumper that says OC800 over the right, so that the left pin remains. see if that helps.
