My Windows 8 Setup has Stuck @33 %

Hello Techies

I am using Asus P5N-D 750i SLI Motherboard
With Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E8400 (6M Cache, 3.00 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB)
4GB DDR2 RAM
NVIDIA GForce 9600GT GC
1 TB SAMSUNG HD103SI HDD.

Earlier there was some problem with my PC. Everything was getting stuck
after BIOS, whether Loading windows or Installing. Then I found that there was some CRC error . So I formatted whole HDD by Removing all partition . Now its showing good status with No Bad sector.

But Now I connected this HDD as Primary hdd to my PC & wanted to Install Win8 in it. But It getting stuck @33% everytime.

Mouse in still moving (It Not hung)
I am Installing Windows 8 by DVD.

Is It DVD's Prob or HDD ??
But DVD working fine on my Lappy.

Any Idea what to do ????

Yeah I am also Considering that possibility. Could you tell me any way to make it sure or repair it ??

My HDD just completed 3 yrs. So I guess no warranty. :(

Thank you for link..

1 more think Before a year ago while cleaning my PC. I accidentally Brushed on CPU (Processor SLOT) pins. So 2-3 pins were lil bent here n there. but None had broken or touched each other.

Will that affect my PC any how ???

Now I am able to install Windows 7 (64 Bits). & Its working fine for now..
What do you suggest now ??

Should I keep using win7 with same HDD & If YES what precaution should I take while using it ?

I would stick with windows 7 over windows 8, it's not really built with desktop in mind. Just make sure you get your drivers installed and slap an antivirus program on it and you should be fine.
