Hi what would be considered a real noticable upgrade on my HD 6970 2gb? I play on just the 1 screen 1080 res with a Z77 mobo so could if neccesary go SLI or Crossfire however i would prefer a single card due to the possible overheating and maybe having to swap the PSU. I do have a 550w bronze rated one so guess it could take 2cards at a push. the 6970 i got 2nd hand and still works great for £200 and would be willing to spend £250-300 if it was genuinely a big graphics boost. Would a HD 7870 XT or 650TI SLI be massive boost over my current card? Have an i5 3570k so bottlenecking wont be a problem.
