Intel Pentium G850, Socket 1155, Dual Core, 2.90GHz

Solution
Will it work, yes.

Will it be optimal, no. The CPU will not be able to keep up with the capabilities of the GPU.

What resolution will you be gaming at? That, too, will have an impact.

Still, you could get the GPU and add a stronger CPU later, if desired.

Good luck!

That's actually not entirely true. That system would be a bit out of balance, but the G850 is not a horrible processor by any means. The G860 was actually recommended by Toms as the best entry level gaming processor for most of last year. Only recently have quad core chips been able to be better utilized.

It all depends on what game you are playing.
