I currently have a Seagate Barracuda 1000 TB hard drive with Windows 7 loaded on it. I also have a spare Hitachi Deskstar 500 GB Hard drive with Windows Vista loaded. Could I hook the Hitachi up and delete it or would that not be safe. If it isn't safe how can I wipe it?

1000 TB O_O That's enormous!! Although I'm guessing you mean 1TB
Anyway yes, it should be fine to hook it up and delete. Your windows 7 drive is your boot drive, so it's not going to load the other drive, it will just see it as storage
