Hi everyone. I have a 3gb VRAM Sapphire HD 7950 standard edition (not vapor-x) paired with 8 gb of ram, and an AMD 6300 processor. On GTA IV at max settings, I am getting slightly choppy video while only using 1211/3048 mb of VRAM. I tried setting the priority for GTA IV to high in Task Manager (Window's 7 Pro). Is there a reason that I am getting choppy video? Is my processor bottlenecking the setup? Thanks in advance

Solution
GTA IV is a very, very bad port, it is virtually impossible to get perfectly smooth framerates in that game, no matter what hardware you have. You will encounter the occasional framerate dip while playing even with your setup. You can try turning some settings down like shadows, and that might help performance a bit, but don't expect 60FPS solid, you're not going to get it.
